The #ReadyToListen MAP

The #ReadyToListen MAP outlines 10 Elements (or actions) required for residential aged care service providers to be #ReadyToListen to and respond to allegations of sexual assault. Being #ReadyToListen is about ensuring victim support and protection, it's also about preventing sexual assault. The MAP covers the Myths, facts And Practical strategies residential aged care service providers need to understand and implement.

This page is for educators and trainers who want to facilitate workshops covering the MAP. There are 3 workshops that take around an hour each and all you need is provided below. You may also be interested in the following resources:

MAP Workshop Kit

This kit is for facilitators to present three workshops that cover all the 10 elements of the MAP.  We recommend facilitators familiarise themselves with the MAP resources (above) before delivering workshops. The workshops cover the myths, facts and practical strategies outlined in the MAP Guidelines and add in case studies, points for discussion and tips for facilitators. For each workshop there is a facilitators guide and a ppt presentation.

Workshop 1: reporting

This workshop covers sexual assault definition (Element 1), signs and impacts (Elements 3 and 4), reporting requirements (Element 5) and immediate support (Element 6)
